*Bowling For Soup, Farse + Never Heard Of It , Swansea Patti Pavillion 2003*

Okay so, my second gig. At the Swansea Patti Pavillion, with Francesca, Kieran, Craig and Lee.
Playing that night were Bowling Four Soup, Never Heard Of It and Farse. Heres how it went....

Never Heard Of It, these people are a really cool band from the U.S, not much of them are heard around here. Well not that I know of! But theyre worth giving a listen to.
They played a great show at the Pavillion and it was a pleasure listening! They seemed to have a good time and I think everyone enjoyed the sounds coming from the stage. A very good band as a support act!*

FarSe, theyre from Birmingham, but unfortunately they have had a split :( so I wont be seeing them again any time soon!
They were quite good though. The vocalist was very hyper/energetic? And it was awesome when he decided to have a little jump into the crowd :p The songs were bouncy, and the voice was lurvvvvvvvly! They played a brilliant set.
Will definitely be missed!**

Bowling For Soup, the headlining act. One word, and that word is - Brilliant! All the way from Texas, Us. Jaret with his beautiful voice and luscious hair, Chris with his metal face and lovely curves, Erik and his babyface & beautiful bass and Gary with his......drums? :P They played a really good show. I would have gone to the Swansea gig this year but guess what - all sold out :( If you ever get the chance to go see them, take it! They are well worth it! I would have expected them to be... well not as good live. They proved me wrong, the lil punk-rockers pulled it off :p Amazing show. ***

After the show, me, Fran and Kieran qued up to meet BFS. They were really nice guys :) I got a couple of pictures with them but unfortunately I lost the one with me and Chris :( Ill try to find it and post it another time. But heres one of Fran, me, Gary and Jaret :)

*Distortion Tour, Cardiff Castle, 2002*

Hello, and welcome to my first ever blog! So, Im Bess and well, this blog will mostly be about music I like and gigs that I have been to. So here goes.

*Distortion Tour, Cardiff Castle, 2002*

The Cardiff gig, before they got big! My first real proper gig. I
Well it was awesome, a load of people, a huge field, big stage and six bands. It was so good that I remember it like it was yesterday!! The six bands, Hundred Reasons, Spunge, Face2Face,A ,Iggy Pop and Green Day.

Me, my sister Francesca, and her mates, Phillipa and Kat took our trip down to Cardiff to go to the gig. It was such a cool day, and was well worth it!

So heres what I thought of the bands that played...

Iggy pop , well to be honest, I didnt think Iggy pop was all that great. I dont really think many people who went there did either. I mean he was cool and all, but not that great a performer. They had a million and one bottles being thrown up at the stage, which was kinda harsh but......expected? *

Hundred Reasons, a cool band from Surrey, England. They were okay, not the best band there, but not the worst either. Fair play they were good, but I only thought there were 1 or 2 songs that I really liked.**

Face To Face, a pop-punk band from the US. I must admit Id never heard of them until that day, but they seemed pretty good to me. They were definitely one of the bands that I really enjoyed listening to. ***

A , were great! Some nice moves there from Jason Perry ;)
They also sounded great, which is a bonus.
Not bad live!! I wouldnt say no to goin to see them again. The Perry twins are just bad-ass >_<
Spunge a punk-ska band
from.....well I dont know where theyre from!! But they were AMAZING!! I had heard a little bit of them before the gig, and I was really glad that they played that day. They were full of energy and kept it up during the whole set. And best of all, they sounded great!*****

Green Day , well now, what can I say? They were as expected- Brilliant! Well worth the money! They let people go and play with them on-stage which I thought was so cool. I didnt go up however because I couldnt play any instrument whatsoever :) Billy Joe, Mike and Tre really stole the show from all the other bands that day , I actually think that Green Day sound better live. Nowadays I dont really like Green Day so much because theyve gotten so big with their new songs, that they just get so over played and I get sick of them easily. The old Green Day was brilliant. So Im glad I actually got to go and see them when I did. ******
